Overview
I am interested in how animals adapt to their environment through physiological, social, or cognitive means. I aim to study wild populations with the use of field experiments to uncover how behavioural variation is maintained in these areas.
My PhD is investigating the courtship display of Great Bowerbirds (Chlamydera nuchalis) in Queensland, Australia. I’m interested in how males of this species build and incorporate visual illusions into their courtship display and why those differ in quality
