I am a marine ecologist with a broad interest in fish and fisheries, with my research spanning fisheries sustainability, animal biotelemetry, and marine conservation, with particular emphasis on Atlantic bluefin tuna and pelagic sharks. I have led and contributed to collaborative, multi-partner projects including Thunnus UK and work on bycatch mitigation, combining field-based ecology with advanced analytical approaches. I have secured and contributed to substantial research funding and enjoy working across interdisciplinary teams. Alongside research, I am an active educator, supervising postgraduate students, teaching at University level, and engaging in public outreach through talks, media, and science communication activities.
