Rose Pugh (She/Her)

I am a PhD student in the Centre for Ecology and Conservation on Exeter's Penryn Campus, mainly based in the Visual Ecology group here. My current research aims to uncover the mechanisms underlying colour change in Hippolytes varians, the chameleon prawn. This research is funded by the Biology and Biotechnology Research Council (BBSRC) through the SWBio Doctoral Training Partnership. Prior to this, I completed my MScRes and BSc at Bangor University, where my research was focused on the genetics of aposematic colour polymorphisms in the poison frog Dendrobates tinctorius. During my time at Bangor, I was heavily involved in the students' union, Undeb Bangor, including being elected as the union's Vice President for Education, a full time job which I did alongside my masters degree. As well as my research, I also have extensive research demonstrating, helping with lectures, labs, and field trips both during my masters and my current PhD.
