Professor Manuel Barange

I am currently Assistant Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations and Director of its Fisheries and Aquaculture Division. In addition to being an honorary professor at the University of Exeter, I am a Visiting Professor at the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute, Qingdao, China. I used to be the Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Director of Science of the Plymouth Marine Laboratory and Chair of the scientific committee of the International Council for the Exploration of the Sea (ICES).
