I am a research masters student looking at the impact of predation on marine turtles in the Mediterranean.
As part of this I will conduct a review of predators of turtles and their eggs in the Mediterranean. I will also analyse data on the impact and drivers of predation on marine turtle populations in Northern Cyprus, using data collected by SPOT (Society for the Protection of Turtles).
I have worked with SPOT for the last 4 years in Northen Cyprus, helping to run one of their bases. This involved leading volunteers to cage nests when laid and then excavating them when they hatched.
I am supervised by Professor Annette Broderick, Professor Brendan Godley and Dr Kristian Metcalfe.
