Dr Alexander Sadykov

Postdoctoral Research Fellow
Ecology and Conservation

Dr. Sadykov is a mathematical biologist employing mathematical modelling, statistical analysis, and applications of complex adaptive and network systems theories to address open questions in evolutionary biology.

Dr Sadykov is pioneering the group-based approach to ecological theory and developing Multi-Group Biodiversity Theory, which advanced our understanding of species coexistence and community structure by incorporating group dynamics into ecological modelling.

Dr. Sadykov investigates a broad spectrum of biological phenomena, ranging from population dynamics, community ecology and epidemiology to resource management and conservation with a particular emphasis on bridging the gaps between different theoretical approaches and between theory and practice.

Known for his collaborative approach, Dr Sadykov is actively engaged in interdisciplinary research and welcomes opportunities to explore new ideas and perspectives.
